For the whole of June, we will be working on a collaborative project with a group of residents and their artist in residence from St. Christopher’s Hospice, Lawrie Park Road, Sydenham. Each Tuesday for the first 4 weeks of June we will be producing work in workshops at St Christopher’s, then we will spend the remainder of the week in school working on the material created and gathered to produce a final outcome of a series of animation projections and plush dolls which will act as the presentation screens.
- The theme ‘How I’d Like To Be Remembered…’
- Dialogue as art-making
- Illustrating narratives, retelling stories & memories through animation and video
- Developing, learning and sharing skills in craft making (for example, making from drawings and design, sewing, embroidery, appliqué, knitting, croquet, cross stitch etc)
- Patients as material source, students as artistic developers, collaboration as production technique
